Welcome

Hello, good evening, welcome … to the framing fairy blog

I’m on a mission to promote picture framing by writing about it.  Hopefully, you will find it fun and informative.  My intention is that you get something out of it, whether it’s a different point of view, helpful information, answers to problems or just a giggle.

If you’ve got too much time on your hands, you can find out more about me here, where I’ve tried to lay down my background and motives behind starting this blog.

Smashing … be my guest … have a click around …

(P.S. if you are reading this in February 2011 – I’ve only just started, so bear with me!)

Note:Views on this blog are my personal views, thoughts and what I deem to be helpful information.  If you are unsure, always get second opinions before committing to getting work framed, refer to other professional bodies where appropriate and discuss suitable options with your Framer.

And here we thought we were just about the only blog about framing. Congrats on your launch – it’s an attractive set-up and your latest “handling tips” post was well written. Looking forward to more.

Hey, thanks very much! Yep, we noticed that in the UK, there are a lot of blogs and websites geared towards framers or just to sell the service, but not a lot that also include information for customers … plus it’s about time framing took the limelight eh!

Ahhh, hello! Wow, glad it’s the same all over! Keep going with the blogging it’s worth it. I’ll keep an eye out for yours, do you also spread the word on Twitter? What part of Oz are you from? My Sister lives near Adelaide! Hope business is good & it’s always great to connect with other framers!

Hey, I am from Brisbane and business is great considering we hear from most of the reps that everywhere is quiet. We must be doing something right. My main roll is serving the customers so I really relate to this post especially the maddness when its busy.

I travelled to Adelaide with my mum last year on a short art venture. We went to see the homestead of Hans Heyson. If you ever visit your sister there you must go. It is an amazing experience. Especially the framing!!!!

Oh, I’ve got a friend in Brisbane! I’ll be going to see my Sister next year, so thanks for the heads up! Glad business is busy, we’ve got the same here, reps telling us it’s not busy. I think if you’re passionate about framing, people will always find you! Good luck!
